Can You Help Me Find My Car??

So, the other day I went to our local Sam's to do my every other week shopping. I got lucky and found a parking space relatively close to the front. I hopped out and went inside. Now, I love Sam's. I love going there (without kids mind you) and taking my time and looking around. But, this particular day I was in a hurry. So I ONLY looked for the things that were on my list and headed to the checkout. As I was walking out the door into the parking lot I spotted my car and hit the remote to unlock it. I then proceeded to hit the liftgate button so that it would already be open for me when I got to it. Hmmm... it didn't open. So I hit it again. Still nothing. Must not have unlocked. I pushed the unlock button again and then the liftgate button. Nada. I am now hitting the liftgate button over and over when a lady came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around and she said (pointing a little further down the aisle and on the other side) "I think your car is over there" I looked at where she was pointing and sure enough, the liftgate on my car had been going up and down, up and down. I just been pointing the remote at the wrong car. I guess it's just a sign of early aging...

This is funny. I had this happen to me one time.. My car was parked near another that looked like mine, and coincedentally we both unlocked ours at the same time, however I accidentally started to get into the wrong one, as they were saying excuse me....

This cracked me up, because we've all done it at least once. Very funny.

Ohhh, I am soooo glad I am not the only one ... however, I don't even spot a mini that looks like mine so I'm in a panic of "ohmygosh, some one stole the mini!" Only to realize that I came out the wrong door and the mini is on the far side of the parking lot. It's so embarrassing! When it happens you feel like EVERYBODY is lookin' at you! LOL

You're not alone!!

I came over to catch up with you since it's my first REAL day back online. (I've been doing email and such from my cell)

Anyway, in reading your posts.. this one CRACKS ME UP!! I had a similar episode to play out in Gulf Shores, AL this summer. We'd been locking my truck keys inside the truck so I wouldn't lose them on the beach.. each time I'd use the keypad to let myself in and get the keys when we got back. Well, one of those times my keypad just wouldn't work. My uncle tried it after I'd just about given up. He finally suggested that I make sure my trunk was down, wondering if THAT might be what was keeping the doors from unlocking. (I drive an Expedition) Well, when I walked around the back of the truck I QUICKLY realized that the tag was ALL WRONG..

As my mind started to race it finally dawned on me... I was "unlocking the wrong one!"

Old age is hitting us REALLY HARD, REALLY EARLY isn't it???? LOL!!!

Now, about FIREPROOF going to the Pentagon... that's just AWESOME!
